Chuck Penson's books says "The release of these microphones does not
correspond precisely with the release of the products which they were
associated. Almost all were released some time just prior to the transmitter
or transceiver they seem to belong to." The following info is a summary from
that book:
companion to HX-10 in 1962 to 1967 HDP-21 (EV model 637)
around intro of SB-104 in 1967 HDP-21A (EV model 638)
couple years prior to SB-104 HDP-121 (EV model 619)
just prior to SS-9000 HDP 242 (Astatic)
AFTER dropping transceiver products HDP-444 (Shure model 444)
