Heath SS-9000

Hi!
My SS-9000 has stopped tuning via the VFO. Scan buttons both work fine 
and change frequencies properly, but the VFO no longer changes 
frequency. Every other function on the radio works perfectly including 
full output on xmit in all modes. I'm on vacation this week and plan to 
tackle this project. Any Ideas?
