Yep you are absolutely right Ken. Your summary is very thorough. 

Bernie, Ken will find something when he goes through the manual that 
will help you fix it... _just hang in there...AND keep looking in the 
meantime.   _grin, grin.

Ken mentioned the freqs of something possibly being off.... have you 
checked the Xtals freqs to see if they are at least near the proper 
freqs.  _AND _I still suspect the switches as they get so oxidized and 
make "terrible contact".  Cleaning with Deoxit , and not that spray 
cleaner stuff, will really help here.  I've awaken many circuits by 
cleaning the switches.

Like I said though, you've gotta let us know what you find or we'll pull 
your Heath List Server plug.... HI....
