VF-1 dial slipping

I had the same problem with the VF-1-like dial in the DX-100. I got it under
control by putting a piece of felt ribbon in the mechanism. It was quite a
while ago and I don't remember exactly where, but you will see when you have
it apart. It is a pretty funky mechanism that relies on friction, and after
all this time, getting that friction just right is kind of an art.

I have taken apart the entire dial assembly, checked it, cleaned it and
