DX-100 mate for me was SX-99

Hi...
The mate to the DX-100 for me was a Hallicrafters SX-99.  As far as I knew,
it was a VERY hot receiver after trying to make contacts during my year
(1955) as a novice with a Hallicrafters S-38C and a Heathkit AT-1.  With
crystal phasing, it had reasonably good selectivity and with an RF stage, it
also had good sensitivity.

In terms of prices, the DX-100 cost me $189.  And the SX-99 was
$149, IIRC.  Back in those days, that was a lot of money ... and still is
today.
