What Does N.O. Stand For?

Doug -

Most likely referring to an internal set of contacts on the T-R relay 
that are Normally Open, i.e., Open circuit in Receive, Closed circuit in 
Transmit.  There's probably another one marked N.C. and another marked 
COM.  The COM might just be chassis ground also.
