[FLBOATANCHORS] Smallest Dual-6146 HF Transmitter?

WRL didn't make any transmitters with 2 of the 6146
tubes in the final. All of the Globe Scout series
used a single 6146. The Globe Trotter used a single
807 in the final. Now the Globe Chief 90, Globe Chief
90A, and the Globe Chief Deluxe all used a pair of 807
tubes in the final. The oscillator / doubler /
tripler tube in all 3 transmitters was a 6AG7 and the
transmitters "doubled" in the final for 10 meters.
That was all there was to the unit, a 6AG7 and a pair
of 807s. The 90 and 90A covered 160 meters through 10
meters and the "Deluxe" covered 80 meters to 10
meters.

All of the Globe Chief models were CW. However, WRL
did make both a plate modulator and the SM-90 screen
modulator designed for use with that series. I have
never owned the plate modulator but had an SM-90 to
use with my original Globe Chief 90A when I upgraded
to General in November of 1959. Got another SM-90 a
while back to go with my "new" 90A.

Doc - I think GLOBE made some transmitter models like
that. You might look for them. I think they were
either dual 807s or dual 6146es.

Plenty of punch on CW and loads of fun in a small
package.
