[Boatanchors] Yoiks! A restorers worst nightmare

Hi Dick,
You won't be able to solder the aluminum at all unless you're using
something very special to do it.
I'm having a little trouble visualizing the part, but I'd suggest
butting the broken parts together & using an epoxy to surround the joint,
and hold it tight until set. JB Weld, or some such.
Is it an aluminum rod or shape that has tapped holes at each end?
Might not be hard to duplicate.
