Yoiks! -followup -- A restorers worst nightmare

Hi agn Dick,
    If it's a post with male 6-32 threads sticking out the ends, one of
which has broken off, can you just drill that end of the post, thread it
6-32, and cut off the threaded portion of a proper length screw, and screw
it in as a stud?  Might need to file that end off smooth before drilling.
You should have a 6-32 tap in your tool box, if not, get one at the local
Lowes, Home Depot, decent hardware store, etc., (and proper size drill
bit) and put it away for the next time ;-)
