Good afternoon all,

Maybe this will help... I work p/t at an auto parts store here in New Hampshire: Robbins Auto Parts. Robbins deals w/many auto body/paint shops and supplies PPG, DuPont, SEM and other paint products including aircraft paints.

I spoke w/Erin Thibideau, our in-house paint expert regarding this issue and here are her suggestions:

1. Use DuPont 3919SG Prep-Sol Solvent Cleaner.
2. Follow with DuPont 225SQ Aluminum Prep Step A
3. Then...DuPont 226SQ Alum. Conversion Step B
4. If painting color, Prime first. If clearing only...no primer.

Then follow with either 2K Primer, Ultra Primer, or Chroma Premire #22860.

Hope this helps. Any questions, get back to me and I'll check w/Erin...jd/K1TLV
