DX-100 mate

Heath didn't make a companion receiver for the DX-100.
The RX-1 Mohawk was designed as a companion for the
DX-100 / DX-100B pseudo replacement the TX-1 Apache.
Before the RX-1 Heath's only shortwave receiver was
the AR- series (AR-1, AR-2, and AR-3) which were only
a slight step above the Hallicrafters S-38 series.
Those might be considered a companion for the Heath
AT-1 and a slight maybe the DX-20.
Heath didn't make that many amateur receivers when
compared to companies like Hammarlund, Hallicrafters,
and National.
My "companion" receiver to the first DX-100 that I
owned (got it used back in 1960) was a Hallicrafters
S-85. I also used it for a while with my first
Hammarlund HQ-140X and a Collins 75A1.

Could someone please tell me what the mate receiver
was for the DX-100? I know that anything could be used
but what was Heathkit's 'ideal' or advertised receiver
suggested to go with this transmitter? I am in the
early stages of planning an AM station using the
DX-100 and the purist in me wants it to be right.
Thank you in advance.
