ss 9000

The purpose of the computer control was to allow a limited remote control and data monitoring of the SS-9000. It was implemented using a simple serial communications protocol using regular ASCII characters with a RS-232 hardware interface. The serial interface is NOT necessary to operate the SS-9000. The SS-9000 manual (available on the internet) includes a chapter on the computer control port and, if I remember correctly, even includes a simple little BASIC program to send and receive data from the SS-9000.
