Restoring Chrome Edging on plastic

Hi -
I remember someone explaining how to 'repaint' the chrome edging on some 
of the plastic
bezels (SB-650 for example).  For the life of me, I cannot find the 
message detailing
this. 

I plan on trying to use a 'brayer' roller and some chrome spray paint.  
Spray the paint
onto a smooth piece of glass ( or similar), roll the roller in the paint 
and carefully roll
this on.  Any advice on doing this or an alternative method?
