GM gentlemen and the list..................
It's been a long time ago, but I "converted" an SB-610 by using a 455kc
IF can from an old All-American 5 AM radio. I don't have schematics,
etc for the 610 but I seem to recall that the Heath can was just the
inductor and that a specific silver mica cap was chosen for resonance.
If the AM radio IF can is used, one should pay attention to it's
construction. It was not uncommon to find a fixed mica embedded in the
plastic base. So if the can is already at 455kc, you wouldn't need the
cap that Heath originally called for. A signal generator and a scope
will put it right on the money.
Hope I haven't confused anything here..........memory is faded, but I
recall it worked fb.

If you find one, let me know. I am trying to convert my SB-620 to 455
also.

Looking for a Heathkit 455kc IF CAN
to go into the SB-610 Monitor Scope.
The Heathkit part number is 40-746,
which is engraved on the lower side
if the IF CAN. Thanks, Carl, k4zrd
