SB-102 Tuning Inquiry

I suggest that you tune the 102 into a 50 ohm dummy load, then switch to the
antenna tuner and tune to 1:1 swr, without disturbing the tune and load
controls.. This way you know that the 102 is tuned to a 50 ohm load. After
getting a match, you may want to "touch up" the tune cap.

Subject: SB-102 Tuning Inquiry

I understand the tune-up procedure on a typical SB-102 configuration
(e.g., the SB-102 connected directly to a dipole), but what is the
procedure for tuning the finals when you have an external antenna tuner
installed?

Do you do a preliminary tune-up with the antenna tuner in bypass mode
first, is it an interactive process? Or do you rely on the SB-102 to do
all of the tuning?

Thanks in advance.
