SB-101 Saga pending so, am thinking about paint.

Heath used at least 5 different "shades" of green on
the cabinets of the SB-Line (and 3 different "shades"
of green on the front panels). It was possible to
order like an SB-301, SB-401, SB-200, SB-630, and an
SB-600 at the same time and get all 5 different colors
on the cabinets and all 3 different colors on the
front panels. There was no rhyme or reason as to what
particular color would come on a particular unit when
new from the factory.
The shade of green that was used on the SB-104 was
also used on some of the other SB-Line cabinets and,
in my opinion, is the best "looking" of all of the
colors. It is a light gray with just a "hint" of
green. I have repainted all of my SB-Line equipment
with this color to get all of them the same. Of
course I can't do anything with the various colors of
the front panels but by getting all of the cabinets
the same color it has really improved the "looks" of
my shack.
For the Sherwin-Williams formula (which any of the
paint companies should be able to duplicate) go to
http://k9sth.com/Page_2.html
Then scroll down to the heading "Articles". The 8th
link down from the top is entitled Boat anchor paint
formulas". The formula for 1 quart (the smallest
amount that can generally be obtained) is listed in
that article.

I am waiting on a wafer switch so I can fix the sb-101
and continue on with the alingments. So, looking at
the case, I was thinking of putting some paint on it.
Now my dad tells me that some Heath members have the
paint mix formula for the heath kit paint. So that
you can just take this down to a paint mixer shop and
tell them to mix the colours for you. Anyways I
thought I would put it out to the list if they knew
what the paint formula for a sb-101 is?
