Tuning SSB filter

Hi Reavis

Has your filter moved in frequency of just developed too much ripple? Take a
look at

_http://www.mines.uidaho.edu/~glowbugs/Heathkit%20SB_HW%20Filters.pdf_
(http://www.mines.uidaho.edu/~glowbugs/Heathkit%20SB_HW%20Filters.pdf)

for information on the Heath SB/HW filters at 3.395MHz.

Over this period of time it is difficult to precisely know what has moved
the most although the crystals will certainly have aged somewhat. Apparently
there is a high LC ratio tuned circuit in the filters that has a considerable
effect on the passband.

You could try a simple tuned circuit at the IF frequency in parallel with
the output of the filter to see if changing the termination from resistive to
reactive makes any difference at all.
