DX-100B Problems Continued

HI Mike,
  If I can rely on memory, really long ago.. I used a DX-100B for a many a year, and I remember having that description of problem, low drive, weak grid, low drive, and I had a SB-10 tied to it too, that was suspect for a bit.. but quick eliminated because cw had the same problem... after many an hour of trying, and not... I finally settled on vfo issues... same circuits that are used after the Xtal, and vfo became under scrutiny, and by especially selecting the coupling caps, and indiviual tubes... I gradually got it cured... step by stage. But only from the vfo to the driver, not the driver or final. Wish I had more specifics... but I haven't had the fun of having one for quite a while.. that may be cured before the summer is out tho.
