Heath Tube Needed

Several years ago I did check with Eimac, spoke with one of their engineers 
and was told that they do no make that tube any more. After having a 
wonderful conversation with the gentelman, he said, "wait a minute, here is 
the engineer that developed the tube" after a few moments he came back and 
told me that he had one in his desk as a souvenir and that he was willing to 
part with it. He mailed to me the next day free of charge. Sent him a case 
of good wine as a sign of my appreciation. Just a good trivia on a good luck 
call and excellent service.

Eimac has the tube but it is expensive around $800.00. My SB-230 amp is 34 
years old and still has the original tube 8873 in it. Check with Eimac and 
see if they still offer the tube.
