Heathkit ID-5001 Weather Station

I just finished building?the Heathkit?ID-5001 Weather Station.? I am going through the initial tests and all my resistance readings were good.? Upon plugging the unit in for the first time I get a good display; the fluorescent bulb lights and the time begins to flash.? When I press the enter button to cycle through?the hours, minutes, date, month, etc. the enter button will not sequence the display.? Also when I wait a minute and the display begins to go into the time mode and?the seconds begin to count; I press the "time set" and "enter" buttons and?it will not go back into the set mode.? Also upon initial power up?when the display is flashing in the initial?"set" mode the number buttons on the front panel?display will change the hours display only.? I can press "1" and get a 1; "2" and it to change to 2 but I cannot cycle through all the display settings/modes.? I have not tested the wind, inputs yet but if I hold the temperature sensors the display temperature rises so that is working.? I believe?I have the button display wired correctly and the plug to the main PC board?is correct.? Any ideas?? Worst case scenario, does anyone go over these and get them working for a fee?? I feel this is something minor as I was really careful when building this, taking my time over a few weeks so I?was sure?I was not tired when soldering, wiring, etc.??I would appreciate any guidance on this as I really want to get this working before I mount all my sensors on the roof.??Finally, the display lights up a warm orange and not the cobalt blue I've seen on other units.? Is there a reason I am not getting the blue color?? Was there another version of this display not in the blue color.? I am waiting for a response from Don Peterson from Data Pro.
