Bob,

The schematic crystal frequencies are NOT rounded for drawing
convenience. The actual crystal frequencies are:

Carrier Generator - 4.99Mhz
USB Oscillator - 4.01Mhz
LSB Oscillator - 13.99Mhz

The Carrier Generator, 4.99Mhz, functions in all modes. The
individual sideband oscillator's function based on the MODE
switch position.

80 meters does not have a heterodyne oscillator crystal. Operation
on 80 meters is accomplished by mixing the carrier generator crystal
frequency with either the USB or LSB oscillator, producing the 9Mhz
IF frequency. The 9Mhz frequency is then mixed with the VFO output
frequency and the "difference" frequency is used to produce the
operating frequency.

40 to 10 has a heterodyne oscillator crystal for each band.

The VFO frequency is 4.99Mhz to 5.5Mhz, 5.5Mhz being the VFO's output
frequency at the low end of ALL bands.
