Fits a military xmtr that some people use.
Usefulness would depend upon frequency range, of course.
I'd post it on the boatanchor lists before scrapping.
The components are beautiful and the gear reduction dials are solid...good 
enough for a vfo.
I've seen several xmtrs built right into those boxes, using some of the 
compnents.  I'm sure you could take that one to 7MHz, 10.
