Thanks for all the input folks!

I'll dust it off, take some pics and see if I can get a nibble online. I 
have too much stuff I never use nor am likely to taking up space. I just 
found two old power supplies that haven't been used in ages that could 
anchor a boat and a continent respectively. They'll have to go to, though I 
may try salvaging the variac out of one of them.

I wish I lived a bit more centrally when it comes "garage sale" time *grin*
