SB-614 not sweeping

Hi Dean
 
I have an SB-610 but not an SB-614. However, looking at the '614 circuit  
the internal sweep generator should only be used on SSB mode. In trapezoidal  
mode (TRAP) the internal sweep generator is not used as the X input is from 
 the (detected) RF from the exciter to the linear amp and the Y plates  are 
driven directly by RF out of the linear. In CROSS mode the X plates are  
driven by the Horizontal input.
 
A scope would help to ensure that the sweep generator is actually working  
although the is an indicator neon labelled SSB which should show the sweep  
rate.
