WTD: Electrovoice 638 Microphone

The results of several on-air A-B tests with both my SB-102 and the SB-401
the best signal reports come from an old unamplified D-104. Almost a dead
heat is the Turner 350 hand mic with the EV-638 getting at best ".......that
one's OK but nowhere near as nice as the other one." This holds true for
both stations where the operator has heard me in real life as well as those
who have only the "on-air" sound to go by.

The EV-638 has never elicited complaints, but switching the mic out without
announcing the fact ahead of time, the change in audio gets a comment about
one time out of three.

And the EV-638 is pictured prominently in the SB-102 assembly manual.  They
must work well for someone?
