Heath - rare coil #40-694 for electron beam deflection & magnetic experiments

Up for sale is a scarce item from the instrumentation period of Heath, their #40-694. Can be used a a focusing coil, single coil beam deflection, or in conjunction with another coil for differential deflection, beam steering. A power amp will drive it, or the Heath EPW-24 which is what they recommended in their physics lab experiments. 3400 turns of magnet wire, 62.5 ohms specification with a large bore, it;'s heavy; 3 1/4" internal bore, 4" long coil, overall frame is 6x6x4". Given the large size the magnetic field could be used for a wide range of experiments. bias fields, magnetic materials testing. It's up on "the Bay" as item # 190353324353, it's mine and I'll try to answer questions from any inquirers. $40 plus shipping at cost, probably flatrate priority is least expensive.
