I didn't trust a direct replacement.  The biasing for the PAs is not
regulated very well as it relies on a diode remote to the board and there
may be other issues.  I opted for a whole new and proven design.  The
Motorola design is far superior with regulated bias with temperature
compensation, IMHO.  Heath's was good for the cost at the time.  The power
increase is another bonus if your PS can handle it.
