Greetings,
I have acquired a Heath IP 2718 triple power supply in great condition. The B supply doesn’t work and I have found a schematic.
It seems that ZD 204 is shorted. The schematic says it is a Heath Part number 56-50 on the schematic. It is supposed to be a Zener diode. The Heath cross reference material that I was able to find indicates that the item is a DO-7 2000 PIV 5ma DO-7 diode. This seems in error.
The NTE & ECG reference book indicates that a 56-50 is a 5066a which is a 3.3 volt, 1 watt zener diode. I suspect that this is a most likely part. Can anyone confirm this? The voltages on the schematic indicate a 3.3 volt difference across this diode.
I would also be interested in obtaining a circuit description if any one knows where one is available.
Thanks and 73 Gordon WA4FJC
