Collectible Heath HW-29 A "Sixer" Lunchbox Transceiver For Sale:

The HW-29A is the six meter version of the series affectionately
known as a "Benton Harbor Lunchbox". The "Sixer", like most Heath
products, originated life as a kit. The transmitter portion uses
8 MHz crystals for (X6) fixed frequency six-meter AM output while
the receiver is a tunable super-regenerative. The Sixer includes
a 115 V AC power supply built in.

Interesting information can be found at

Most Heath collectors know about the Heath Lunchbox series,
which includes the Twoer, Sixer, Tenner, and the CB-1 version
for 11 meters.

This particular unit works fine and looks like it was assembled
yesterday -- not 50 years ago. I brought it up slowly on a
variac, fully expecting hum and capacitor problems. Surprise --
no hum. It works great on both transmit and receive. Power out
is about 3 watts on 50.4 Mcs (xtal included). It sounds great
on my IC-746. The receiver also sounds good, with no hum, but
of course it has the "rush" of all super regen receivers.

Also included is the original Turner Heath microphone with the
cotton covered cord. It also looks new.

I don't think you will find a nicer Sixer these days -- and it
also works well.

With paper work for $100.

Other Heath Items For Sale:

Heath HD-15 phone patch / digital interface
This is the unit with the VU meter on the left and 3 knobs
that match the SB series to the middle and right. Low or
high Z output to the transmitter. It can also be used as
an interface for PSK31, and other digital modes that use
a sound card. The meter makes it great for setting levels.
This one is all original. It is in excellent condition.
Cosmetically, I can not find a scratch on it.
Paper work included for $25.

Heath HD-15 as above, but shows slight wear. $22

B & W CS-6 G (also known as 595) Coax Switch

This is the switch that is in a rectangular box about 9
inches long, with seven SO-239 connectors coming out
of the back. It will switch 6 antennas. Unused positions
are grounded.

This one is in nice shape. I do not find any scratches
or defects on it.

With paper work for $45.

Miscellaneous Heath Parts:

Lever Knob
This is the dark green lever type knob that is used as a
loading control for the HW and SB line, as the filter
selection, and other similar uses. $15

Most of the internal parts are available, but no clock.
