Here's the story. I have an SB-102 at my second home at a ski resort.
My son happens to be spending the winter there, working for the
resort...naturally, he has friends, friends who like to twiddle knobs.
Went up to see him....turned on my 102' to warm it up, and went down
stairs. I have a remote switch so as to not wear out the onboard switch
on the tranceiver. Came back about 15 minutes later, walked up to my
radio and thought, "Hmm, why can't I hear the receiver?" Checked the
antenna, volume and RF gain, and then I saw it--it was in the "tune"
position!!
I immediately, turned it to trcv, but it was too late. Checked to see
what might be obviously fried...I have no grid current, plate current,
but I still have my full 800v of HV. I was only there for a day, now
I'm going back this weekend. In addition to taking my "spare" SB-101, I
was going to take two 6146's, and maybe a driver tube (don't know what
that is off the top of my head)...any other ideas as to what could have
blown?
