[Heath] SB-104A VFO question

Hello, gang,

My '104A is running fine, except for one little annoying thing: sometimes
when tuning, the sensitivity of the optical encoder in the VFO gets weird
(at least I think it's an optical encoder.)

Once in a while, if I try to tune, say, less than a full kHz, the display
and the frequency will jump a bunch. For instance, if I try to move just
.1kHz, it'll jump .4 or .5. If I wiggle the VFO knob and try again, it'll
settle down.

Loose ground somewhere, maybe?

73,

Sandy AC1Y
