Hi All
 
One additional item is that you can use the 6AH6 instead of the 6AU6 in the 
 receiver RF stage but you also need to change another 6AU6 to a 6AH6 or 
use a  balancing resistor on the opposite heater rail to equalise the heater  
currents - the 6AH6 requires 0.45A whereas the 6AU6 requires 0.30A. 
 
Personally I find the SB-101 receiver sensitivity perfectly adequate on all 
 bands except possibly 10m and with an evening noise level of S7-S8 on 80m  
and 160m (special conversion) the extra gain from the 6AH6 is just not  
required.
