Ha! Piker. Ye're just a kid. I turned 70 on my last birthday. 

I was remembering that I and Bob Preston, W7DPG, picked a BC-610-I out 
the back of his pickup and carried it into his shack and set it gently on the 
floor back in 1969 or so. Those things weigh over 400 lbs.

An Apache or DX-100 or an RCH receiver (110 lbs) is light.
