Before these were invented we used platinum wires wrapped around cloth dipped in some salt solution - very expensive and horribly unreliable.

I need new humidity sensors for this.  Some time ago, someone said that they were going to make new humidity sensors, but have seen nothing about it since then.  Does anyone know where to get these sensors, or anything about them?
