[Heath] SB-301 help

I have this 301 that has excellent sensitivity in all bands, but it goes 
dead when switched to USB I have replaced the USB crystal and its socket 
with no change, also, have no manual for this receiver, only have one for 
the SB-300 but apparently there are some significant differences.. Another 
symptom is that when in the USB mode, the crystal calibrator is barely 
audible, and in LSB great reception in all bands. Any help will be greatly 
appreciated.
