No.

They don't. The DX-35 and DX-40 used very heavy grid swamping to 
eliminate any neutralization issues. I am not sure about the DX-60, but I think 
it was the same.

At one time, I actually installed a 4X150 in my own DX-35. I took it back out, 
though...

This was in 1957 or so.
