[Heath] AR3 tuning cap shafts (and others like it)

I have always have good luck freeing up these shafts by applying heat to the
shaft end

with a micro-jet torch (Irodo or similar). Of course you have to be careful,
use very short

applications of the flame tip and  use foil or similar to avoid heating
anything close by.

 

These little torches are available at just about any good hardware store and
use butane

lighters as refills.

 

Don't spray any chemicals while the flame is burning or while the shaft is
very hot. Sounds

a bit drastic but it works every time.
