[Heath] Off Topic: Knight R-100A Main Tuning Vernier

Howdy,

Anyone ever rebuild the vernier for the main tuning cap in a Knight kit 
R-100A? Mine has a lot of slack in it and doesn't want to turn at all 
even though I'm turning the knob at a feverish pace. Eventually it will 
catch and start turning the main tuning cap but it takes quite a few turns.

Any advice appreciated,
