Bench type power supply, Resistance decade
box, SWR Bridge, Phone Patch, Digital terminal
unit, Manuals, and more For Sale:

.

Heath SP-27 Low Voltage Power Supply:

The Heath SP-27 is the factory wired version of
the IP-27 kit version. It is a lab type power supply,
with adjustable voltage and current limiting.

It has a large 3.5 inch meter that can be
switched to read current or voltage.

The current limiting is set in 50 ma, 150 ma, 500
ma, and 1.5 amp ranges, with a pot for fine
adjust. One can set to the current expected,
and not let the smoke out as easily.

Specs say the voltage is adjustable from 0.5 V
to 50 V in 5 V steps. A pot permits fine adjustment.
On this unit, the ranges above 20 V are somewhat
compressed, and maximum output is 36 V DC. We
used supplies like this for over 25 years at the
college where I taught. Most of them do this
compression as they age. It is of no consequence,
as very seldom would one use over 15 V, and it
is perfect in the lower ranges.

Buy this power supply, with manual, for only
$55.

.

Heath IN-11 Resistance Decade Box:

The Heath IN-11 is a resistance substitution box
that can be adjusted in one ohm increments
from zero ohms, up to 999,999 ohms.

It could be said that this is a vintage unit,
since it was made from 1961 thru 1967.

I was happily surprised when I checked this
decade box, comparing it to my lab meter.
They match exactly! I suppose that should be
expected, since this unit uses 0.5% resistors
in it.

Buy this unit, with paper work, for only $25.

.

Heath AM-2 HF SWR Meter:

The Heath AM-2 is basically a "moni-match" type
of SWR bridge. It was designed for 160-meters
through 10-meters and usable on 6 meters.
Above 54 MHz the accuracy of the SWR scale is
very questionable. It will indicate the lowest
SWR at higher frequencies but the actual SWR
value shown on the meter will not be accurate.

By changing the internal calibration resistors,
it can be used on either a 50-ohm or 72-ohm
system.

This one works like it should, and looks OK.
Buy it with paper work for only $25.

.

Heath HD-15 Phone Patch:

This is the unit with the VU meter on
the left and 3 knobs that match the
SB series to the middle and right. Low
or high Z output to the transmitter.
It can also be used as an interface to
the computer for PSK31, etc.

This one is in extremely good condition.
No scratches or imperfections.

Paper work included for $25.

.

Heath HD-3030 Digital Terminal Unit:

The HD-3030 appears to be a good quality unit
that will drive a loop to key a real TTY machine.
It has 170, 425, and 850 shifts on it, as well
as CW. It appears to be a step beyond the
TTL-2, ST-5 and ST-6, in that it will do CW as
well. Of course it is all solid state.

This one appears to work, although I no longer
have a real mechanical TTY machine to plug
into the loop jack.

Cosmetically, it is in good shape.
Actually exceptional considering its age.

Buy it with the manual for only $50.

.

Resistors for HF Linear Amps:

Have you replaced the filter caps or do you
have an error in the high voltage reading
in your linear amp?

Most amps used resistors that got too hot for
bleeders/equalizing near the filter caps. I
have some 120 K ohm, 3 watt, 1% resistors
that are really great for bleeder/equalizing
resistors in the capacitor string. 1% equalizes
much better. $0.75 each

.
Many amps used three 4.7 meg resistors
in series to meter high voltage. Almost all
of these resistors are out of tolerance today,
partially because of their age, but also
because their voltage rating was exceeded.

I have 4.7 Meg, 1% tolerance, 2 watt, and are
rated to handle the high voltage. This compares
to the original resistors furnished by Heath that
were 4.7 Meg, 5%, 1 watt and about 400 volts.

Buy a set of three for $3.

.
