Heath IMD-202-2 DMM:

This IMD-202-2 Digital Multimeter has a Heath
tag on the back of it, but the front says Bell
and Howell. The color makes it look Heath, but
my understanding is that Bell and Howell had
these units as part of their training courses.

This DMM measures DC Voltage and current,
AC voltage and current, and resistance.
Full scale is 2, 20, 200, and 2000.

This one is a tech special in that one of
the nixie digits does not fully function.
The ICs in it are in sockets, so it should be
easy to repair. It may be that contacts
need to be cleaned.

Cosmetically, this unit looks really great.

Buy this unit for $15.

Heathkit SK-201 Spike and Surge Protector:

The Heathkit SK-201 is designed to protect
your phone line from surges and spikes.
After grounding the surge box, you simply
plug the phone line in to it, and you are
protected.

As far as I can tell, this one works fine,
and it looks really great.

Heath HD-15 Phone Patch:

This is the unit with the VU meter on
the left and 3 knobs that match the
SB series to the middle and right. Low
or high Z output to the transmitter.
It can also be used as an interface to
the computer for PSK31, etc.

This one is in extremely good condition.
No scratches or imperfections.

Paper work included for $25.

Resistors for HF Linear Amps:

Have you replaced the filter caps or do you
have an error in the high voltage reading
in your linear amp?

Most amps used resistors that got too hot for
bleeders/equalizing near the filter caps. I
have some 120 K ohm, 3 watt, 1% resistors
that are really great for bleeder/equalizing
resistors in the capacitor string. 1% equalizes
much better. $0.75 each

Many amps used three 4.7 meg resistors
in series to meter high voltage. Almost all
of these resistors are out of tolerance today,
partially because of their age, but also
because their voltage rating was exceeded.

I have 4.7 Meg, 1% tolerance, 2 watt, and are
rated to handle the high voltage. This compares
to the original resistors furnished by Heath that
were 4.7 Meg, 5%, 1 watt and about 400 volts.

Parts for Heath SB-630 station console:

Many SB-630 parts are available.

Most of the internal parts are left, including
all of the "under chassis" parts.

Front panel, clock and outer case are gone, but
reflectometer assembly, transformer, switches,
etc. are still available.
