[Heath] DX-60 small knobs

Finally got the DX-60 out of the closet to start
on this restoration project.  Had forgotten that the
'Drive Tune' knob was cracked, but still intact.
Searches of the ham swap sites revealed some
original knobs for sale, some also cracked.

Any suggestions on fixing the split knob?
I can epoxy and clamp the pieces, but haven't
tried it yet.  Has anyone tried inserting a
brass tube, drilled and tapped for the setscrew,
to better handle the setscrew pressure on the plastic
inner wall?
