VTVMs, Heath HW-101 HF Transceiver, HR-10 Receiver, DX-60 B
Transmitter, HG-10 VFO,
Crystal filter, cable, and misc. parts For Sale:
.
Heath IM-11 VTVM:
The vacuum tube volt meter (VTVM) is a must for
any vintage audio, radio or television technician's
workbench. The digital DVM's have taken their place
and give a more accurate reading and should also
be part of a complete workbench. However, there are
instances where the VTVM is more reliable than many
DVM's. A couple of examples are measuring continuity
of inductors (chokes, transformers etc.) and observing
a fluctuating voltage, peaking tuned circuits, etc.
The IM-11 is a newer version of the older V-7.
This one has the probe included with it, as well
as the printed manual.
This one works as it should.
Cosmetically it is extremely nice.
Buy it for $50
.
Heath IM-28 Bench Type VTVM:
The Heath IM-28 Vacuum Tube Volt Meter has a very large
meter and is designed for bench use. It is about 12
inches wide and 5 inches high. It is the Heath brown
color of some of the later Heath instruments. It has 7 DC
volt ranges, 7 AC volt ranges, and 7 ohm ranges. AC
frequency response if from 25 Hz to 1 MHz.
This one works fine, and is easy to use with the large
meter. Cosmetically it is in great condition.
It includes a probe and a manual for only $60
.
Heath HW-101 HF Transceiver
Most of us know this is an 80 thru 10 meter SSB/CW
transceiver. It is vintage, using tubes, with a
pair of 6146's in the final that produces just over
100 Watts.
This one works as it should.
The electrolytic cap in it has been replaced.
Cosmetically, it is MUCH better than most.
Very immaculate, not scratched at all.
Buy it with paper work for $200.
.
Heath HR-10 Vintage Receiver:
The Heathkit HR-10 is a vintage receiver designed
for amateur bands between 80 and 10 meters,
and made in the early 1960's. The tuning dial is
large and is illuminated. It matches the Heathkit
DX-60 transmitter.
This is a vintage receiver, which means its
performance is not close to what we have today!
This one looks extremely nice. Even more so if
one considers its age. Electrically it performs
as expected.
Buy this with paper work for $75
.
Heath DX-60 B, Tech Special HF Transmitter:
The Heath DX-60 B is an 80 thru 10 m (pre WARC,
so no WARC bands) AM and CW transmitter. It uses
a single 6146, so about 45 watts out. It was the
successor to the DX-20, DX-35, and DX-40, and also
the earlier DX-60 and DX-60 A models. This is
the "B" model which is the latest.
This one is a tech special. No output, as it
appears that the high voltage is intermittent.
The "HV" neon light may light for a bit, and then
go out. It has screws missing, indicating that
someone was working on it at some point. Maybe
he gave up, or maybe he became a silent key before
he could get it repaired.
Paper work is included for $50
.
Heath HG-10 VFO:
The HG-10 VFO is designed to be used with the
DX-60 transmitter, or the HW-16 transceiver. It
can also be used on the DX-40, plus other rigs.
It actually covers 80 thru 2 meters, but most
people use it for HF for 80 thru 10. It is older
than the WARC bands, so does not include them.
I do not have any way to test it, so I do not
know if it works or not. I would guess not,
as there are screws missing, which usually
means someone was working on it. Assume
it is for parts only, and you might get a surprise.
Buy it with paper work for $20
.
Power supply cable:
You may need a cable to connect your rig with your
power supply. This is the cable. It has an 11 pin
"octal" plug on one end and a similar socket
on the other end, with hoods, on it. $30
.
Heath Crystal Filter:
Heath 404-283 SSB Crystal Filter
This is the 2100 Hz filter used in the SB-100,
101, and 102 transceivers, and possibly also in
the SB-400/401 transmitters. It works like
it should. $70
.
