Heath Apache TX-1 AF board Component layout of the Apache speech amplifier component strip. Unfortunately there is no labelled pictorial in the manual, and no logical (at least to me) pin numbering scheme. The following was reverse engineered from a highly modified component strip - cannot guarantee it's accuracy, but it works! The top of the 'picture' relates to the front panel end of the board. The left side of the 'picture' relates to the side of the board nearest to the chassis. Note: the (AF ground) and (B+) labels reference wires on the board, under the components which connect to common ground and B+ points. Hope this is of some value. 73, Bill N2BC (FRONT PANEL) chassis ground <- *---- C67 (200pf) -----* -> to mic connector | *---- R49 (4.7k) ------* | to C66 <- *---- R48 (470k) ------* (ground) * open * to R2 <- *---- C64 (510pf) -----* -> to V7-1 | *---- R46 (470k) ------* | *---- R44 (100k) ------* (B+) | *---- R43 (47k) -------* | *---- R42 (100k) ------* -> to V7-6 | to V8-2 <- *---- C61 (510pf) -----* * open * *---- R40 (100k) ------* (B+) | to V8-1 <- *---- R39 (100k) ------* | *---- C60 (.01uf) -----* * open * to V10-5 <- *---- R37 (330) -------* -> to V8-8 | *---- R36 (680) -------* | (ground) *---- R35 (680) -------* -> to R36/C58 to V8-6 <- *---- R34 (100K) ------* (B+) red & red/yel wire | *---- C56 (.01uf) -----* -> to R3 (REAR PANEL)
