It's sad to think that the Internet, while offering a fascinating communication link, paradoxically is leading to diminishing ranks in young radio fans. Just check out the average age of radio operators on the HF bands. Frankly, there's no comparison when one looks at the radio experience v. the WWW. Tune your receiver on 20 meters late in the evening, mid-summer, with the lights in the shack dimmed. Compare that to a CRT staring you in the face. 73's, Fred WA8IDI ]
