The receiver features a signal strength "S" meter, a front panel dial
calibration control that operates in conjunction with the 100 kc crystal
calibrator provisions (optional), a tuned RF amplifier stage, a crystal filter (2
pole), and an automatic noise limiter circuit. It was introduced in 1968 as
color-upgrade successor to the HR-10 introduced in 1961. Coverage is
ham-band only. The HR-10B color matches the DX-60B transmitter while
the HR-10 matches the DX-60. A review of the HR-10 can be found in the
July 1963 QST magazine. A clear copy of the schematic diagram is
included.</span></font>
