However, I like to use 220 mfd at 450 volts when replacing the 125 mfd at 450 volts capacitors in the older Heath equipment. Have had absolutely no problems with the higher value capacitors.</span></div><div></div><div> </div><div>Glen, K9STH<br><br></div><div>Website: http://k9sth.com<br> <div style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> <div style="font-family: 'times new roman', 'new york', times, serif; font-size: 12pt;"> <div dir="ltr"> <font size="2" face="Arial"> <hr size="1"> <b><span style="font-weight:bold;">From:</span></b> John King <k5pgw@yahoo.com><br> <b><span style="font-weight:

Just curious what most greenies use to replace those HV caps?</div><div><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: 'Courier New', courier, monaco, monospace, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">I
know of a source for 100mfd caps at 600 Wv. each and two in series
would give me 50 mfd at 1200 WV or could use four to end up with 100 mfd
at 1200 WV. I don't think a total 100 mfd would be a good idea due to
the surge required at turn on. What are your thoughts based upon your
knowledge and experience gained by replacing the caps in old DX 100s and
DX 100 Bs?</div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: 'Courier New', courier, monaco, monospace, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: 'Courier New', courier, monaco, monospace, sans-serif; background-color: transparent; font-style: normal;">Thanks for your input. 73, John, K5PGW</div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><br>_______________________________________________<br>Heath mailing list<br><a ymailto="mailto:Heath@puck.nether.net" href="mailto:Heath@puck.nether.net">Heath@puck.nether.net</a><br><a href="https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/heath" target="_blank">https://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/heath</a><br><br><br> </div> </div> </div></div></body></html>
