the early 80s. Their most challenging (and expensive) kit was the
rolltop desk. I still have an oak hall mirror and a round mahogany
plant stand that are quite nice. The parts required minimal
sanding, fit together tightly and accurately, and the gel varnish
made it easy to apply a nice finish without making a mess.<br>

To answer Bob Groh's question, your can of gel varnish is probably
hard as a rock by now. I use gel varnish often, and find it
doesn't last more than a year.<br>
