<DIV>Ken..I think you could use a variac to boost the mains by 5%  (125 VAC) withhout any problems with the filament and low voltage supply...Also, it seems in many parts of the country what was "115 VAC"  40 years ago is now "120 VAC or even 125 VAC in some cases"  ...My "220 VAC is now 245 VAC"  ...What is your line voltage now?  What was it when the HP-23 was built?</DIV>
