Far as I know, this is the packet memory. The inbound PIC copies each
packet (divided into 64-byte cells) into the FPC memory, from which
the outbound PIC reads and transmits.

I can't speak for the type of RAM and whether off-the-shelf modules
would work. I've never had to replace any of mine.
