Hi all,

I've got an M-40 which has been having problems with the harddisk on it's
routing engine. The routing engine is a cpv5000 and the disk appears to
be a Seagate 6.4Gb EIDE drive. Errors that we're seeing are:

Apr 30 06:18:56 smith-fe-0-3-0/smith-fe-0-3-0 /kernel: ad2: WRITE command
timeout - resetting

Can I just replace it with any old EIDE drive that I happen to have lying
around or are there specific types/sizes that must be used?

Once replaced, what's the procedure for formating the drive, installing
JUNOS and getting a basic config going?

Thanks,

Rich
